📻 This month on SLS, we listen to a blend of Latin pop-inspired trap, hip hop, fusion jazz and the experimentally electronic sounds of Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso after their July 8th tour stop at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
Artist Bio
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso are an Argentine duo from Buenos Aires known for blending Latin pop, trap, hip-hop, fusion jazz, and electronic elements with a distinct experimental edge.
Their Tiny Desk Concert turned the lifelong friends into global sensations almost overnight after it came out last October. It has now racked up 50m views, and Rolling Stone has called them “the future of music."
Their magnetism lies not only in their musical experiments but also in their offbeat fashion and untamed energy. Defying every convention, the pair mix hedonism with critique and humour with gravity, all the while staying true to themselves.
Session Details:
💿Jaladé (@jalade__) will be joined by residents: Losso (@losso_____works) and Kikino (@kristenliston), punctuating the session with a curated selection of tracks placing the Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso sound in a wider musical conversation before spending some time focusing solely on their discographies.
✏️During this week’s SLS, we have Andrew Tavukciyan, a Canadian-Armenian multidisciplinary artist and muralist, returning to help facilitate “open draw”. Tavukciyan will present a live drawing, encouraging you to do the same!
⛓️Sensational Listening Sessions at Bleach are an opportunity to gather and collectively listen. The Bleach Listening Room is free to enter, offering a thoughtful selection of wines and small plates. Seating is first-come, first-served.
