🦻🏾 Join us Wednesday, January 14 at Bleach Listening Room for the 9th installment of Sensational Listening Session (SLS).
📻 This month on SLS we feature Jacob Banks— the Nigerian-born, London-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. Like all trailblazers, Jacob Banks defies any and all boundaries. His ear-catching signature soulful sound remains equally steeped in the swing of R&B, the grit of rock‘n’roll, the gusto of hip-hop, the experiments of the electronic, and the power of pop.
Artist Bio:
The world was first
introduced to Banks sound with a series of self-released EPs. Soon after signing to Interscope Records, he made his full-length debut with 2018’s Village and garnered
widespread critical acclaim everywhere from Billboard, Complex, Interview, PAPER, and gained a spot on VIBE’s “30 Best Albums of 2018” list.
In addition to headlining sold-out shows on multiple continents, he’s delivered electrifying performances at Coachella, SXSW, Austin City Limits, Latitude and Lollapalooza, and performed with the likes of Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith, and Alicia Keys.
His latest album, The Book of Yonder is a three-part anthology featuring three additional live recordings. Available as a double LP and across streaming platforms. Yonder, was released in July 2025 developing on his iconic voice and incorporating a deft balance between acoustic and electronic elements.
