Join us for an intimate, self-directed creative workshop where participants explore the concept of Stendhal Syndrome—the overwhelming experience of emotion, beauty and intimacy in the presence of art.

Throughout the evening, a live sonic intervention will serve as the compositional framework—shaping atmosphere, pacing and collective attention

📻 This month on SLS we feature sonic visionnaire Sudan Archives ahead of her February 15 concert at The Pearl. Archives also known as Brittney Parks is a self taught avant-garde violinist, combining left-field strains of R&B, hip-hop, and experimental electronic music with hypnotic string loops and the fiddling style of West Africa and Sudan.

The Ryze Radio is back in town, and we welcome you to join us for our July listening session this Wednesday, July 16th, at Bleach Listening Room.

Tune in as we listen to the timeless grooves of Cymande — the legendary band in anticipation of their July 27th show at Commodore Ballroom.

First we listen to their albums, Portrait of a Time: 2010-2016, Bismillah and Beta.

As the night fades, we will blend the night away with a Peter Cat inspired DJ mix by @theryze_production ☁️

Our pilot listening session of The Ryze Radio Season III. In this inaugural episode session we will listen on CD featuring artist such as Mamani Keita & Marc Minelli, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Cesaria Evora + more!

This event is hosted at Emily Carr University of Arts + Design during their “The Show”. The listening room was designed and made by Jefferson Alade and incorporates sculpture and installation to help shape the listening experience.
