If you don’t knowww, now you know— Synesthesia #16 is back with two very special guests 🧵. I am grateful to have the one and onlys @v_raymusic and @munroblue to take over this month’s episode!
V_Ray
Munro Blue
I have known these two since the early days when I moved back to Vancouver a couple years ago. I remember meeting them first at @teenoble Open Decks on @bsidedotradio and connecting with them over our shared music tastes and our love of @kaytranada 👔.
V_RAY, an open-format DJ, producer, and dancer journey begins in New Delhi’s underground hip-hop scene. Fun fact, he was so inspired by the music of Kaytranada that during the pandemic, he moved to Canada to immerse himself in its creative culture and expand his sound. His sets flow across genres and continents— gliding from house and RnB to funk, hip-hop, and disco—always searching for pockets and grooves that make people move🩳.
Munro is a selector devoted to the deep, underground sounds of 1990s classic house. Steeped in the soulful rhythms and gritty grooves of the golden era, he blends rare cuts, deep vocal tracks, and forgotten B-sides. His sets are more than just music—they’re a tribute to house music’s roots👕.
Both aim to blend rhythms and grooves with soul and intention. I wouldn’t want anyone else to take over this episode and I am honestly so jealous I can’t be there in person to watch.
If you do pull up IRL, as always come with an open heart ♥️ and a loving mind🧠!
